Wisdom Manufacturing (WM) is a new generation of information technology using advanced manufacturing technology and Internet of Things, big data , cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), etc. to highly customize/intelligentize every link of the production process advanced manufacturing models to adapt to rapidly changing external market demands.
In the past, manufacturing was the pursuit of automation and mass production of similar products, while smart manufacturing required rapid customized production of products according to customer needs. Smart manufacturing is a core sector of Industry 4.0.
Taiwan's manufacturing industry has supported a generation of glory, especially good at mass production and OEM manufacturing. In the face of such a global manufacturing revolution, the Taiwan Executive Yuan's Production 4.0 development plan was also released in due course, aiming to accelerate the vertical, horizontal digitization and intelligence of the industrial chain, and introduce key independent technologies of network-real integration and human-machine collaboration, so as to leverage Force and collective efforts to accelerate the cultivation of the soft and hard power of the industrial network and real system, and give specific plans and goals in terms of capital investment/talent training/professional guidance. Manufacturers in the manufacturing industry are also actively responding, hoping to ride the tide of 4.0 to create another miracle.
But there is a big problem now that many manufacturers think that smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0 are unmanned smart factories with technological innovation, automation, and the use of robots. This misunderstanding has caused many enterprises to take the road of smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0 more and more crooked, investing a lot of money but not getting a corresponding improvement in efficiency.
Today, with the blessing of digitalization, the comprehensive strength of the manufacturing industry has been continuously strengthened. The industry has realized the intelligent transformation of production organization, supply chain and manufacturing mode driven by new formats of marketing, service and design. The overall business strength of the company has improved, but there is still a gap in traditional fields such as device automation and intelligence.
On the one hand, the lack of the corresponding technical foundation and production process, coupled with the lack of motivation for automation upgrades due to cost issues, has resulted in low penetration and utilization rates of smart factories and smart workshops.
On the other hand, the level of data flow is not enough to support the automated execution between multiple business systems, and data silos reduce the fluency of the business chain and the automatic collaboration between systems is not high.
We have been talking about enterprise E-ization for many years. From the beginning of the introduction of CRM system, to the introduction of MES, MIS, ERP, finance, logistics, and want to laugh system, there are more systems, and the data is complicated, and then we import a data integration tool: Reporting software or BI system tools. These are all processes of enterprise E-ization. It has not been completed, and it is always in progress. No company has said that its E-ization has been completed, and there is no need to do any E-ization in the future.
The same is true for smart manufacturing, sensing devices, network devices, robots, wearable devices, 3D printing, smart phones in hardware, cloud platforms in software, big data applications , artificial intelligence AI, virtual reality VR / Augmented reality AR technology is all stages, and new technologies may emerge with development. It is necessary to be prepared without once and for all, and constantly optimize according to the situation of the enterprise and the development of technology, so as to remain invincible in the fierce competition.
